The Challenge - Time.
We were asked to work with Stanley's Post to produce these images for Sky Q. The idea being that the action was bursting from the screen, liquifying and travelling to another screen. We had rushes from The Mill help guide us but the was shot in a dark and moody environment. We had white to play with.
We toyed with the idea of creating this with simulations but quickly realised that we needed absolute control over every aspect of the modelling and surfacing. Time was extremely tight so we decided to model these in Modo and Zbrush.
The client wanted the screen pixels to look as if it were being stretched with light appearing to be carried with it. We had a very small area to work with, tight angles and
a shallow depth of field with a lot of information to pack into that space.
